Native leaders condemn 'Native Extraction Service' ad
Native leaders in Manitoba want authorities to investigate an online ad that promised a "Free: Native Extraction Service" to remove Native youth from the streets of Winnipeg. A woman from the Garden Hill First Nation found the ad on UsedWinnipeg.com. It was taken down but the Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak says it was a hate crime. "It’s very concerning for our organization that such things like this exist," Grand Chief David Harper said at a press conference, The Winnipeg Free Press reported. "We have to deal with the site.
