Rep. Lujan set to join House Natural Resources Committee
Rep. Ben Ray Luján (D-New Mexico), a first-term member of Congress, will join the House Natural Resources Committee.

Luján said he will focus on Indian issues. His district includes 15 Pueblo tribes, the Jicarilla Apache Nation and parts of the Navajo Nation.

“With the Committee on Natural Resources, I will continue to fight for Native Americans who too often struggle to be heard,” Luján said in a press release. “I look forward to working with Chairman Rahall to improve services in Indian Country and preserve our treasured land and resources.”

Rep. Nick Rahall (D-West Virginia) chairs the committee.
