Ute Tribe votes to terminate director of energy department
The Ute Tribe of Utah voted to fire the director of its Energy and Minerals Department.

Chairman Curtis Cesspooch abstained from the vote to fire Larry Love. But he said there were questions about Love's ability to follow directives from the tribal business committee.

Love disputed that accusation and said he plans to sue over his termination. "They were spreading untruths," he told The Vernal Express.

Both Cesspooch and Love said the dismissal was not related to the recent suspension of the tribe's top business executive.
