The Cabazon Band of Mission Indians committed to another three year sponsorship for the annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival.
The tribe will spend $500,000 on the fair from 2012 through 2014. The tribe has been the presenting sponsor for 13 years.
"Even though we're experiencing a down economy right now, events like the Riverside County Fair are integral to maintaining the fabric of our community,” Chairman David Roosevelt said in a statement, The Palm Springs Desert Sun reported.
Next year's fair takes place February 18-27.
