Judge orders former Mashantucket Pequot chairman to pay debt
A judge in Connecticut ordered the former chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to pay more than $6.5 million to a bank.

Michael Thomas defaulted on a $5.2 million line of credit from Sovereign Bank. The judge ordered him to pay interest, penalties and other fees.

Thomas was ousted as chairman of the tribe last year amid concerns about the tribe's financial health.
