Philadelphia chooses two Indian authors for 'One Book' project
The city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has chosen books from two Indian authors for its literacy project.

One Book, One Philadelphia is encouraging residents to read "War Dances" and "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian," both by Sherman Alexie (Spokane / Coeur D'Alene). For younger readers, "The Good Luck Cat" by Joy Harjo (Muscogee) is the selection.

As part of the program, Alexie will visit Philadelphia for school and public readings in March 2011.
