Senate Indian Affairs hearing on law enforcement hiring
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold an oversight hearing next Thursday, March 18, to discuss a law enforcement issue.

The committee will look into recruitment, training, hiring and retention of Bureau of Indian Affairs and tribal police officers. Most reservations remain understaffed and some tribes have only a handful of officers to patrol large land bases.

The hearing takes place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. A witness list hasn't been made public.
