Quileute Nation adopts strict policy on photos and taping
The Quileute Nation of Washington has adopted a new policy that addresses photos, sketching and taping on the reservation.

Photos and sketching for personal use are acceptable under the policy. But taping of audio and video for personal use are not allowed.

Photography, sketching audio and video for commercial use are prohibited entirely unless authorized by the tribal council.

The tribe has seen an influx of visitors due to the popularity of the Twilight series of movies and books, which are based loosely on Quileute culture and history.
