The Sto:lo Nation of British Columbia suspended hereditary chief Jimmy George after he was charged with sexual abuse of a minor.
George was arrested last weekend on charges of sexual interference in connection with three separate incidents. The victim, or victims, were under 16 years of age.
This isn't George's first sex-related offense. He served three years for pleading guilty to minor abuse charges in 1988.
