Young Saginaw Chippewa man cleared of federal assault charge

A federal jury in Michigan acquitted a young member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of an assault charge.

Lyle J. Pego, 19, was accused of trying to drive another vehicle off the road. He was 18 years old at the time of the December 23, 2009, incident.

The jury cleared Pego after a two-day trial.
