South Dakota bill assists veterans with tuition for tribal colleges

South Dakota lawmakers are considering a bill to help veterans of the National Guard with tuition at tribal colleges.

Veterans who attend public colleges in the state only pay half the tuition. The bill would extend the same privilege to those who attend tribal colleges.

South Dakota is home to three tribal colleges.
