Little Traverse Bay Bands leaders face another recall attempt

The top two leaders of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians in Michigan are facing another recall effort.

Chairman Ken Harrington and Vice Chairman Dexter McNamara survived a recall last summer. Opponents are trying again because they say Harrington and McNamara aren't doing a good job.

“I truly think the first time around, people really believed that (Harrington) would do the tribe good, and they felt he should have another chance — now they see the true Ken,” Rose Smalley, the chairperson of the recall committee, told The Petoskey News-Review. “People have called, who voted for (Harrington) in the last election, and they’re asking if we’re going to have another recall — the sooner the better.”
