Seminole Tribe to meet county over land-into-trust application

The Seminole Tribe will meet with commissioners in Polk County, Florida, to discuss a land-into-trust application.

The tribe submitted an application for the 796-acre site to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Plans call for a 150-unit housing development.

The land is within the original Seminole Reservation that was set aside by an 1823 treaty.
