Tim Purdon, the U.S. Attorney for North Dakota, held a tribal listening session on Wednesday.

Purdon wants to improve public safety in Indian Country. He has assigned an assistant federal prosecutor for each of the four reservations in the state.

"This is about communication and hearing from you about how we can help on your reservation," Purdon said in his closing remarks at the United Tribes Technical College, The Bismarck Tribune reported.
