Native woman sentenced to 12 years for daughter's death

A Native woman who pleaded guilty for the death of her two-year-old daughter was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Nicole Redhead, 29, admitted that she suffocated Jaylene Sanderson-Redhead. in June 2009. The incident took place at a Native women's shelter in Manitoba.

Redhead pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
