Navajo medicine man not eager to use the Internet for sales

Francis Mitchell, a member of the Navajo Nation, doesn't want to market his services as a medicine man on the Internet.

Mitchell relies on word-of-mouth to land clients. Going online would defy tradition, he said.

"It's not supposed to be a competition," Mitchell told The Farmington Daily Times of his practice. "It's not a way to recruit business, a way to identify yourself."

Mitchell has clients as far away as Europe but he uses the telephone to keep in contact with them.
