Former employee accused of stealing from Spokane Tribe

A former employee of the Spokane Tribe of Washington has been indicted in federal court on theft charges.

Jack L. LeBret, the former director of the Spokane Tribal EMS Department, pleaded not guilty to four counts of embezzling more than $1,000. Federal prosecutors say the amount of money he is accused of stealing is in dispute and the indictment has been filed under seal, The Spokesman Review reported.

LeBret is not a tribal member.
