Omaha Tribe evacuates homes due to Missouri River floods

The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska evacuated 18 homes due to flooding from the Missouri River.

Carroll Webster, the tribe's emergency manager, said the homes are located in low-lying areas near Macy, a town on the reservation. A tribal park also has been closed.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is releasing record amounts of water along the Missouri to deal with runoff from heavy spring snowmelt and rainstorms.
