Choctaw Nation gave $50K to Rick Perry before he quit race

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma donated $50,000 to a political action committee formed to support former Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry.

The tribe donated the money to Make Us Great Again, a so-called "super" political action committee. It was made on December 29, 2011, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Perry, the current governor of Texas, dropped out of the race last month, shortly before the GOP primary in South Carolina.
