Wyoming Legislature on the Wind River Reservation for hearing

Lawmakers in Wyoming are on the Wind River Reservation this week to discuss law enforcement and other issues.

The reservation is home to the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Crime increased there seven percent despite a "surge" of law enforcement from the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Officials, however, believe the effort was a success. There's been regular meetings with the BIA and the FBI, a Northern Arapaho leader said, the Associated Press reported.

The Judiciary Committee and the Select Committee on Tribal Relations are on the reservation for three days.
