Reward of $25K offered over death of Haliwa-Saponi woman

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information about Faith Hedgepeth, a member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe of North Carolina who was murdered last week.

Hedgepeth, 19, was a student at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The school's Board of Trustees is putting up the reward.

“She held one of the brightest and most prospective futures that any young woman could hope for,” the Rev. Ronald Richardson, the tribe's chief, told The Warren Record.

Authorities are interviewing people who saw Hedgepeth before she died, CNN reported. She was found in her apartment.
