The Hualapai Tribe of Arizona is seeking bankruptcy protection for one of its corporations.

Sa' Nyu Wa lost a $28.5 million judgment to the non-Indian operator of the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The corporation is taking the dispute to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals but an executive said it can't afford to run the popular tourist attraction anymore.

Grand Canyon Resort Corporation, a different tribal corporation, is now operating the Skywalk. Last month, the same corporation took over another businesses on the reservation from a non-Indian partner.

JIn's attorneys are seeking to garnish the bank accounts of Sa' Nyu Wa in order to recover the $25.8 million judgment.
