Taos Pueblo woman serves up traditional fare at food stand

A woman from Taos Pueblo has reopened her food stand on the tribe's reservation in northern New Mexico.

After spending a few years in California, Annette Vigil and her husband set up the Annette’s Home Cooking two weeks ago, The Taos News reported. She is serving traditional foods, mainly with products from the tribe's farmer's market.

“In the fall, we’re going to have roasted corn, and when we get root vegetables, we’re going to do a stew,” Vigil told the paper of her plans to serve seasonal foods.
