Zuni Pueblo and Navajo Nation end dispute for surplus property

The Navajo Nation and the Zuni Pueblo have reportedly reached a settlement over a surplus federal property.

The tribes will equally divide the 18,000 acres at the defunct Fort Wingate Army Depot in New Mexico, The Navajo Post reports. The site is near both tribes' reservations.

The tribes have been negotiating since 1977 but were unable to resolve the dispute until now.
