Lac du Flambeau Band reports more arrests in war on drugs

The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Wisconsin announced arrests in its ongoing war on drug trafficking.

As part of Operation Pandora, the tribe and local law enforcement executed a search warrant at a home on the reservation. Two non-members were arrested -- one was an Indian man who appeared in tribal court while the other faces charges in county court.

"We are receiving information almost daily from community members who are reporting illegal drug and gang activity," Tribal Police Chief Robert Brandenburg told The Lakeland Times.

In June, the tribe and local law enforcement arrested more than 20 people as part of Operation Pandora.
