Designer Walter Van Beirendonck used Indian imagery to send a message to the fashion industry during his show in Paris on Wednesday.

Several of his looks featured models in faux feathers and headdresses. The words "Stop Racism" were scrawled on some of the headdresses.

Several fashion companies and designers have come under fire in the past couple of years for adopting Indian images and for marketing items using specific tribal names without permission from tribes.
