The federal government reached a settlement with the Custer Battlefield Museum in Montana.

Federal authorities seized items from the museum as part of an investigation into the alleged sale of eagle feathers and eagle parts. Museum director Christopher Kortlander was never charged but he agreed to drop litigation in exchange for the return of most of the items.

Kortlander, however, won't get to see medicine bundles that were previously reported as stolen. The Associated Press did not say what will happen to those items but indicted that they might be returned to their original owners.
