DOI sets agenda for Cobell buy-back listening session on May 29

The Interior Department is holding a listening session on the Land Buy-Back Program for Tribal Nations next week.

Deputy Secretary Michael Connor, the second highest-ranking official at DOI, will lead the May 29 session in Portland, Oregon. According to a notice in today's issue of the Federal Register, the agenda follows:
1:00 p.m.—Invocation
1:15 p.m.—Introductions
1:30 p.m.—Opening Remarks by Deputy Secretary Michael Connor
1:45 p.m.—Buy-Back Program Status Update
2:00 p.m.—Tribal Leader Oral Comments
3:00 p.m.—Break
3:15 p.m.—Individual Landowner Comments

The session will be held at the held at the Federal Building, Auditorium at 911 NE 11th Avenue in Portland.
