Vice chief from Passamaquoddy Tribe arrested for drunk driving

The vice chief of the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township in Maine is facing a drunken driving charge, The Bangor Daily News reported.

Clayton Sockabasin, 44, was arrested June 4 in Bar Harbor, off the reservation, the paper said. He was pulled over early in the morning and failed a breathalyzer test. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

Sockabasin is running for re-election today.
