Charges have yet to filed for the deaths of two people on the Barona Reservation in southern California.

Elaina Rose Welch, 32, was arrested last week after authorities suspected her of murdering her three-year-old son and her 32-year-old boyfriend. But she was released from jail on Thursday without being charged. The case remains under investigation.

"It's unusual that somebody gets release in a case of this nature, but it does happen and it looks to me like they just didn't have the case against her," an attorney who isn't involved in the case told 10News.
