Annual Trail of Tears art show returns to Oklahoma next month

The 44th annual Trail of Tears Art Show opens next month in Oklahoma.

The event runs April 18 through May 23 at the Cherokee Heritage Center in Tahlequah. It's the longest-running Indian art show in the state.

“Each year, the Trail of Tears Art Show showcases breathtaking art created by Native American artists from across the country,” Candessa Tehee, the center's executive director, said in a press release, The Muskogee Phoenix reported.
