The U.S. Attorney's Office in South Dakota has named a new tribal liaison.

Troy Morley, a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, joined the office in 2012. He will serve as the "conduit" for all of the nine tribes in South Dakota, according to a press release.

Former U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson stepped down last week after more than five years on the job. The acting U.S. Attorney is Randolph J. Seiler, who previously served as the tribal liaison for the office.
