Students, teachers and staff at Santa Fe Indian School in New Mexico are excited about a historic visit from First Lady Michelle Obama.

Obama will address the school's graduating class on Thursday. It's the first time a sitting First Lady has spoken at a Bureau of Indian Education commencement ceremony.

“She can bring awareness to the school,” senior Tyrell Westika told The Santa Fe New Mexican. “That shows we are here, that we are actually the best hope of America going forward.”

The ceremony is ticketed and seniors each have been given 17 tickets, the paper reported. All of the leaders of the 19 Pueblo tribes in New Mexico are expected to attend, Indian Country Today reported.
