The Puyallup Tribe of Washington has reclaimed a portion of its reservation.

The tribe's economic development arm, Marine View Ventures, acquired the North Shore Golf Course, The Tacoma News-Tribune reported. The 18-hold public course lies in the northwestern part of the reservation.

"The opportunity to re-acquire a parcel of land of this magnitude on the Puyallup Reservation doesn’t present itself often, so we are thrilled to add the North Shore Golf Course to our real estate holdings," Chairman Bill Sterud said in a statement quoted by the paper.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
