Pojoaque Pueblo is bringing some of its history back home to New Mexico.

An exhibit of historic pottery opens at the Poeh Cultural Center on the reservation on Friday. The effort represents an ongoing collaboration with the National Museum of the American Indian, which has loaned several pieces for the new show.

"When the pots come back, prayers will be said and they’ll pretty much be welcomed home," Karl Duncan, the executive director of the Poeh, told The Santa Fe Reporter.

The exhibit is titled, IN T’OWA VI SAE’WE, which means The People's Pottery in the Tewa language.
