Late last month (November 30th), Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert MacDonald made his site visit to the VA Hospital campus at Hot Springs, South Dakota, and also addressed the gathering in the Mueller Center. He apparently remarked that he will announce his decision (to close or not to close) regarding the reconfiguration by January 20th, 2017. So we still do not know. His speech is reported to be on the Save The V.A. website.

In closing, i would like to leave you with a Lakh’ota word (Oie): Wah Hinhe = Snow fall or Snowing.

Oko ichinunpa ki (Next week), ahke wounglakin ktelo (we will talk again).
