The House Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States will hold a legislative hearing on Thursday.
Two bills are on the agenda for the afternoon session. They follow:
- H.R.7565. The bill authorizes the Seminole Tribe to lease or transfer certain non-trust lands in Florida without involving the United States.
- H.R.8255, the Catawba Indian Nation Lands Act. The bill ensures the Catawba Nation can move forward with a gaming development on ancestral territory in North Carolina.
