In the latest episode of Reconciliation Rising, we interview Lance Foster, vice chairman and tribal historic preservation officer of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.

Foster talks to us about his efforts to regain more than 440 acres for his tribe from the Nature Conservancy. Plans call for the land to be used to establish a national park operated by the Iowa people.

Reconciliation Rising is a multimedia project that showcases the lives and work of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the U.S. who are engaged in honestly confronting painful and traumatic histories, promoting meaningful and respectful dialogue between Natives and non-Natives, and creating pathways to reconciliation.
