The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs meets for a legislative hearing on July 20, 2022.

Agenda
S.4104, the Haulapai Tribal Water Rights Resettlement Act of 2022. The bill ratifies a water rights settlement between the Haulapai Tribe, the state of Arizona and the federal government.

S.4439, the Katimiîn and Ameekyáaraam Sacred Lands Act. The bill transfers about 1,031 acres of federal land in northern California into trust for the Karuk Tribe.

H.R.5521, the Urban Indian Health Confer Act. The bill amends the Indian Health Care Improvement Act to establish a formal policy in which all agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services confer with urban Indian organizations on laws and policies affecting urban Indians. Currently, only the Indian Health Service has such a policy. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill on November 2, 2021, following consideration on November 1.
