Choctaw Nation gets IHS contract

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma has been awarded a unique contract from the Indian Health Service.

The tribe will become a hiring firm for IHS dental clinics throughout the country. The five-year contract has the potential to be worth $15 million a year, according to tribal calculations.

The tribe provides similar services for the Department of Defense, the U.S. Army, Air Force and Navy, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
