Tribal shellfish agreement set
FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2002 Disputes over the gathering of shellfish by 15 tribes will be handled by one federal magistrate. U.S. District Judge Edward Rafeedie approved a settlement affecting the tribes and land owners in Puget Sound. In 1994, he ruled the tribes were entitled to half the catch under their treaties.
