Narragansett Tribe loses gaming partner

MONDAY, JULY 8, 2002

The Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island has lost its gaming partner again.

Boyd Gaming withdrew from a $500 million casino proposal in response to delays by the State Legislature. The pair were hoping to get the issue before voters this November but a gaming study commissioned by lawmakers won't be ready until next spring.
