Tribe taps water supply for profits

WEDNESDAY, JULY 17, 2002

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians is set to open a water bottling plant next year.

The California tribe is leasing its land to Perrier for the plant. The company is turning over a spring located on private land to the tribe and will pay for every gallon extracted.
