First Nation rocked with suicides
MONDAY, JULY 22, 2002 The chief of the Shamattawa First Nation in Manitoba has called a state of emergency for three suicides in nine days. An 18-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 36-year-old mother of six died while a television journalist was documenting alcohol and substance abuse.
