Navajo students awarded scholarships

WEDNESDAY, JULY 31, 2002

The Navajo Nation has awarded 64 high school graduates with college scholarship money.

Each student will get a $7,000 Chief Manuelito scholarship. Manuelito fought against the Army in the late 1800s and was a signatory to the Navajo Nation treaty.
