First Nation fighting hotel development

The Siksika First Nation of Alberta has taken a Canadian hotel chain to court to prevent damage to a glacier lake.

The band and environmentalists have teamed up to fight the Fairmont hotel chain. They say the development affects Lake Louise in Banff National Park.

Citing treaty rights and a lack of consultation, the band has asked the federal Parks department to revoke the hotel's water permit.
