Indian trust scandal is Indian Enron
THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 2002 Comparisons to some of the largest scandals in history abounded at meetings held in Oklahoma to discuss the Indian trust fund lawsuit. Elouise Cobell, lead plaintiff in the Individual Indian Money (IIM) lawsuit, and two attorneys spoke to account holders and tribal leaders in eastern Oklahoma. The Quapaw, Miami and Osage tribes hosted meetings. A third meeting takes place today. Get the Story:
