Wash. tribe moves ahead with dam lawsuit

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2002

The Yakama Nation of Washington wants a federal judge to throw out a repair project for a federal dam.

The tribe wants fish ladders installed at Keechelus Dam. The $32 million project was authorized without respecting treaty rights, according to a lawsuit filed against federal agencies.
