Ex-cops challenge tribal court ruling

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2002

Two former Connecticut state police officers who were transferred after an alleged break-in on the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation are appealing a tribal court ruling.

John C. Drumm and Richard Perron allege tribal officials slandered them by accusing them of illegal activities during a 1995 incident. A state investigation found no illegal activity.

A tribal court judge dismissed the mens' claim in July.
