Tribal member arrested on fraud charges
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2002 A member of the Puyallup Tribe of Washington was arrested on Thursday for what one official called the largest fraud investigated by state auditors. Russell LaFountain allegedly over-billed and fradulently billed the state for liquor shipments. He is accused of ripping off the state Liquor Control Board for about $800,000. Get the Story:
